Gerrit Coles Injury status

Recent Cy young award winner Gerrit Cole has been diagnosed with a dangerous injury. The 33-year-old pitcher had a great season last year and was hoping for another in this upcoming season. His top-notch pitching has led him to a devastating break in the elbow tissue. He met one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the MLB, Neal Attrache. After the meeting he is expected to miss 1 to 2 months of the season. Supposedly He is going to avoid one of the most career ending surgeries out there, the tommy john.

After meeting with Attrache, Cole stated that he is dealing with nerve inflammation and that it is too soon to set a date to which he will return. He will be resting his arm and making sure that he doesn’t worsen his situation any more by doing polymetric exercises. He is following the doctor's advice to go through the rest and recover routine rather than getting the tommy john surgery.

Yankees fans are hoping and praying for a recovered Gerrit Cole by midway through the season. Gerrit Cole at his best will give them their best chance of making the playoffs this year.
