Has the Transfer Portal Gone too Far?

      A major part of college basketball that has become more evident in recent years is the transfer portal. Players, mostly from top schools but also from non power 5s (most recently Robbie Avila), have entered the portal, looking for either a bigger role on their new team or a more known team for their draft stock. However, many fans are worried that the integrity of the game is being taken away, as the players will to work towards a goal has diminished knowing that they could leave after the season if they are unhappy. Many of the denouncers do not want to eliminate it in its entirety, but more set limits on it to prevent overuse. Men's Final Four Preview

     The past two weekends of the March Madness tournament have been electrifying to say the least. With major upsets and closely contested games it seems like we have seen it all. Should the NCAA Expand The Tournament's Field of 68?

         Recently. the College Basketball world has been active with March Madness Predictions and Bracket Breakdowns. West Bracket Breakdown

    The West is likely to be one of the most hotly contested regions in March Madness this year. Home to UNC, the team widely considered to be the worst #1 seed in this year's tournament, and Arizona, considered the best (if not second best) #2 seed. Addittionally, there are several teams in the top and bottom of the bracket that can challenge UNC and Arizona, and make their own path to the Final 4.

     The East, widely known for being the #1 overall seed's stomping grounds, is set for an interesting year. The UConn Huskies, led by coach Dan Hurley, look to defend their crown and make it back to the finals. How Far can Kentucky go in March?

    As the Kentucky Wildcats dropped 3 home games in a row, many people were left questioning if this team would hold its own in the tournament. However, with back to back victories over SEC opponents it is clear that this team could make a run. Kentucky’s a win over Auburn was especially notable. Auburn was coming off a 40 point victory over South Carolina and unbeaten at home. However, the Wildcats finally demonstrated their ability to play good defense and work hard to force turnovers, beating the tigers 70-59.
