Jets back on week 1 mnf
Aaron Rodgers may get PTSD. After getting injured on the third snap of his Jets debut last year, his 4th snap will once again come on Monday Night Football in Week 1. All jokes aside, Jets v. 49ers will be a good game to give us a sense of how each team's season will go.
INternational games
Week 1: Packers v. Eagles (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
This one should be good. The Packers and Eagles were two very different stories last year in terms of when they peaked, but both are viewed highly by experts heading into this season, and the Jordan Love/Jalen Hurts matchup is not to be missed. This should be a good, close game to start off the international festivities in Sao Paulo.
Week 5: Jets v. Vikings (London, England)
Okay? This matchup seems more thrown together, but it still has potential to be strong. It will be Englands first chance to see rookie QB JJ McCarthy play live, as well as Aaron Rodgers (hopefully) in a Jets uniform. The Jets stifling defense should be fun to watch against this new look Vikings offense with Addison and Jefferson. Additonally, the Justin Jefferson/Sauce Gardner matchup will be viewed around the league.
Week 6: Jaguars v. Bears (London, England)
I actually like this. the Bears should be much improved this year, and they really weren't that bad last season. The Jaguars, although I may not view them as highly as some do, are a solid all around team with good QB play. They may have lost, Calvin Ridley, but they have the depth to balance out his mass production with 3 or 4 others. This should be a closse one in London.
Week 7: Patriots v. Jaguars (London, England)
Uh oh. Why? I am willing to bet that no fans in England were hoping to see the Patriots 10-point show get rocked by the Jags. I guess, if Drake Maye is playing well enough at the time it MIGHT work. But still, these New England WRs won't be able to carry their tiny load in this one. At least the Jacksonville players get a 2 week long vacation in London though.
Week 10: Giants v. Panthers (Munich, Germany)
Looks like at this point NFL schedule makers were out of ideas. Munich, for their one game of the season, gets to watch the Giants and Panthers battle it out for the #1 overall pick. The elite Bryce Young vs. Daniel Jones QB matchup every international fan was waiting for has arrived. Maybe one of these teams surprises, but I highly doubt that Germany will get to watch two teams fighting for a playoff spot in week 10.
